Woodward-Hispanic: Gamaliel Botello

The Way, The Truth and The Life Free Will Baptist Church
On June 1, 2007, Oklahoma State Missions launched a new work in Woodward, Oklahoma. We are partnering with the Woodward Free Will Baptist Church to establish a Hispanic Ministry in Woodward. Pastor Gamaliel Botello moved to the area and began canvasing the area handing out fliers and visiting people, inviting them to their launch service on Father's Day, June 17. A team from the Hispanic work in Bartelsville, Oklahoma came to help with the music and launch service and over 20 new people attended! The next week they grew to over 25 and they continue to grow in each service! Currently the church averages in the 60's and has seen over 100 people saved!

Grove: Sam Smith family

Foundation Free Will Baptist Church, Grove, Oklahoma
We announced at the Oklahoma State Meeting in 2007 that we had a mission Pastor to lead the church in Grove! For some time we have been planning on partnering with South Grand River Association to plant a church in Grove. The process has been slow, but Bro. Sam Smith is now on board with us as our church planter. Bro. Sam comes to us from the Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church in Sperry where he served as Associate Pastor with responsibilites in Evangelism and outreach.

In January, 2008, we were able to purchase a 7000 square foot building on 8 acres to begin the work in Grove. We are excited about having a permanent location for this new church. The Foundation Free Will Baptist Church launched in May, 2008 with 89 in attendance. They currently average in the 80's and are seeing new people attend every week.

South Tulsa: Ronnie Baker family

Audacity Free Will Baptist Church, Tulsa, Oklahoma
In 2009 the Oklahoma Free Will Baptist Mission Board identified South Tulsa as a potential place for our next church plant. With the downturn in the economy, the South Tulsa project got put on hold. Although we had identified an area and talked to several potential planters, the timing wasn't right.

We are pleased to announce that NOW the timing is right! Just a few months ago, Pastor Toby Youngblood, lead pastor at the Faith FWB Church in Glenpool contacted our office telling us about a minister in his church that felt called by God to plant a church in South Tulsa. The ball began to roll and in October 2012, Ronnie Baker was officially hired by the state mission board to plant a church.

Ronnie is currently a member of the Faith FWB Church and is an ordained FWB Minister. He is married to Ashlee and they have 8 children. The church currently is in the prelaunch phase and plans to launch in public weekly services Easter 2013.
